Sonic Adventure Classic
Sega · 1999
Sega's final console launched in Japan in 1998 and in North America on 9/9/99, with a built-in modem for online play and a memory card with its own screen. It was discontinued in 2001, but its short life produced Shenmue, Jet Set Radio, Soulcalibur, Crazy Taxi, Skies of Arcadia and Sonic Adventure.
Dreamcast games still feel inventive and colorful, and many have been re-released on later platforms. The console also has a remarkably active homebrew scene for a system that left shelves so long ago.
Matrix Picks tracks 407 Dreamcast games, 172 of which support two or more players.
