Super Mario 64 Classic
Nintendo · 1996
The Nintendo 64 arrived in 1996 with an analog stick and four controller ports, two features that reshaped console gaming. Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time showed how 3D worlds could work, while GoldenEye 007 and Mario Kart 64 made it the king of split-screen nights.
The N64 is at its best with friends on the couch: its library is packed with four-player party, racing and shooter games. Selected titles are available through Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
Matrix Picks tracks 345 N64 games, 271 of which support two or more players.
