Developed by Realtime Associates and published by THQ, Rugrats: Treasure Hunt arrived on the Nintendo 64 in 1999 as a board, card or party game.

It landed about 3 years into the N64's life. Other notable N64 releases from 1999 include Resident Evil 2, Super Smash Bros. and Donkey Kong 64.

It is part of the Rugrats series; on the N64 you can also try Rugrats in Paris: The Movie and Rugrats: Scavenger Hunt. The series also appears on other systems with Rugrats: Search for Reptar (PS1) and The Rugrats Movie (GBC). Realtime Associates also made Charlie Blast's Territory, Gex 64: Enter the Gecko and Sesame Street: Elmo's Letter Adventure for the N64.

Rugrats: Treasure Hunt supports up to 4 players, whether that means taking turns or going head-to-head.

Pick it if…

  • you want to think and plan
  • you have time for a quick session (under an hour, or endless arcade fun)
  • you have a friend to play against
  • you've played the N64 hits and want something less obvious

Maybe skip it if…

  • you want action or story rather than tabletop-style play
