Developed by Midway, NFL Blitz arrived on the Nintendo 64 in 1997 as a sports game.
It came out in the N64's second year on the market. Other notable N64 releases from 1997 include GoldenEye 007, Star Fox 64 and FIFA: Road to World Cup 98.
It is part of the NFL Blitz series; on the N64 you can also try NFL Blitz 2000, NFL Blitz 2001 and NFL Blitz Special Edition. The series also appears on other systems with NFL Blitz (PS1) and NFL Blitz 2000 (PS1). Midway also made Doom 64, Mortal Kombat Trilogy and Quake for the N64.
NFL Blitz supports up to 2 players, whether that means taking turns or going head-to-head.

Maybe skip it if…
- you need current teams and rosters
