Released for the Super Nintendo in 1993, Disney's Aladdin is a platformer developed by Capcom. Depending on the region, you may also know it as Aladdin.

It landed about 2 years into the SNES's life. Other notable SNES releases from 1993 include Super Mario All-Stars, Secret of Mana and The Lost Vikings. Among the 140 SNES platformers in our database, it ranks #15 by legacy score.

It is part of the Disney series; on the SNES you can also try Disney's Beauty and the Beast and Alice no Paint Adventure. The series also appears on other systems with DuckTales (NES) and DuckTales (Game Boy). Capcom also made Mega Man X, Mega Man 7 and Mega Man X2 for the SNES.

Disney's Aladdin is a single-player game, so it's one to enjoy at your own pace.

Pick it if…

  • you have time for an evening or two (roughly 1–6 hours to see it through)

  • you are looking for something to play with friends

What playing Disney's Aladdin is like

Platformers are all about movement: running, jumping and timing your way across levels full of gaps, enemies and secrets. The best ones feel great to control within seconds and then slowly teach you to master every leap.

Tip for newcomers: Retro platformers often have limited lives and few checkpoints. Learn one level at a time, look for hidden 1-ups, and don't be shy about using a save feature when it is available.
