Developed by Compile and published by NEC, Devil's Crush arrived on the TurboGrafx-16 / PC Engine in 1990 as a pinball game. It blends pinball and simulation elements.

It came out in the TurboGrafx-16's second year on the market. Other notable TurboGrafx-16 releases from 1990 include Bonk's Adventure, Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap and Klax.

It is part of the Crush Pinball series; on the TurboGrafx-16 you can also try Alien Crush. The series also appears on other systems with Devil's Crush (Genesis). Compile also made Blazing Lazers, Cyber Knight and Xevious: Fardraut Saga for the TurboGrafx-16.

Devil's Crush supports up to 2 players, whether that means taking turns or going head-to-head.

  • you want variety beyond one or a few tables

What playing Devil's Crush is like

Video pinball recreates the flippers, ramps and bumpers of the real thing, often with tables that would be impossible in the physical world.

Tip for newcomers: Learn to trap the ball on a raised flipper to set up your shots, and look for the table's multiball triggers.
