Released for the Super Nintendo in 1992, NCAA Basketball is a sports game developed by Sculptured Software and published by Nintendo. Depending on the region, you may also know it as World League Basketball.

It came out in the SNES's second year on the market. Other notable SNES releases from 1992 include The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Super Mario Kart and Final Fantasy V.

Sculptured Software also made Doom, WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game and Super Star Wars for the SNES.

NCAA Basketball supports up to 2 players, whether that means taking turns or going head-to-head.

Pick it if…

  • you want to race and compete
  • you have time for a quick session (under an hour, or endless arcade fun)
  • you have a friend to play against
  • you've played the SNES hits and want something less obvious

Maybe skip it if…

  • you need current teams and rosters
