Jeopardy! is a board, card or party game released in 1991 for the Game Boy, developed by Data Design and published by GameTek.

It landed about 2 years into the Game Boy's life. Other notable Game Boy releases from 1991 include Metroid II: Return of Samus, Final Fantasy Adventure and Yoshi.

It is part of the Jeopardy series; on the Game Boy you can also try Jeopardy! Sports Edition, Jeopardy!: Platinum Edition and Jeopardy!: Teen Tournament. The series also appears on other systems with Jeopardy! (NES) and Jeopardy! Junior Edition (NES). Data Design also made Wheel of Fortune for the Game Boy.

Jeopardy! supports up to 2 players, whether that means taking turns or going head-to-head.

Pick it if…

  • you want to think and plan
  • you have time for a quick session (under an hour, or endless arcade fun)
  • you have a friend to play against
  • you've played the Game Boy hits and want something less obvious

Maybe skip it if…

  • you want action or story rather than tabletop-style play

What playing Jeopardy! is like

Board, card, quiz and party games bring tabletop classics and social games to the screen, from chess and mahjong to trivia and casino games.

Tip for newcomers: These games are usually best with company; check how many players are supported before game night.
