Developed by Software Creations and published by Acclaim, All-Star Baseball 2003 arrived on the Game Boy Advance in 2002 as a sports game.

It came out in the GBA's second year on the market. Other notable GBA releases from 2002 include Sonic Advance 2, Metroid Fusion and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Four Swords.

It is part of the All-Star Baseball series; on the GBA you can also try All-Star Baseball 2004 Featuring Derek Jeter. The series also appears on other systems with All-Star Baseball '97 (PS1) and All-Star Baseball 2000 (N64). Software Creations also made Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase, Rugrats: Castle Capers and The Ripping Friends: The World's Most Manly Men! for the GBA.

This is a solo experience: one player, no waiting on anyone else.

Pick it if…

  • you want to race and compete
  • you have time for a quick session (under an hour, or endless arcade fun)
  • you've played the GBA hits and want something less obvious

Maybe skip it if…

  • you need current teams and rosters
  • you are looking for something to play with friends
