Developed by Namco, Galaga 2 arrived on the Sega Game Gear in 1992 as a shoot 'em up.
It came out in the Game Gear's second year on the market. Other notable Game Gear releases from 1992 include Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Streets of Rage and Defenders of Oasis.
It is part of the Galaxian series; on the Game Gear you can also try Galaga '91. The series also appears on other systems with Galaga (7800) and Galaga (NES). Namco also made Pac-Man, Mappy and Batter Up for the Game Gear.
