Godzilla: The Series is an action game released in 2000 for the Game Boy Color, developed by Crawfish Interactive Ltd. and published by Crave Entertainment. It blends action and beat 'em up elements.

It landed about 2 years into the GBC's life. Other notable GBC releases from 2000 include Wario Land 3, Super Mario Bros. Deluxe and Grand Theft Auto 2.

It is part of the Godzilla series; on the GBC you can also try Godzilla: The Series: Monster Wars. The series also appears on other systems with Godzilla: Monster of Monsters (NES) and Super Godzilla (SNES). Crawfish Interactive Ltd. also made X-Men: Mutant Academy, Cruis'n Exotica and Maya the Bee & Her Friends for the GBC.

This is a solo experience: one player, no waiting on anyone else.

Pick it if…

  • you want to fight, blast and test your reflexes
  • you have time for an evening or two (roughly 1–6 hours to see it through)
  • you've played the GBC hits and want something less obvious

Maybe skip it if…

  • you prefer slow, thoughtful games over reflex tests
  • you are looking for something to play with friends

What playing Godzilla: The Series is like

Action games test reflexes and nerve. Expect fast enemies, tight controls and stages you clear by reacting quickly and learning enemy patterns.

Tip for newcomers: Retro action games are often short but tough. Treat early deaths as practice runs; every attempt teaches you where the next threat comes from.
