V-Rally 3 is a racing game released in 2002 for the Game Boy Advance, developed by Velez & Dubail and published by Atari.

It came out in the GBA's second year on the market. Other notable GBA releases from 2002 include Sonic Advance 2, Metroid Fusion and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Four Swords.

It is part of the V-Rally series. The series also appears on other systems with V-Rally: Edition 99 (N64). Velez & Dubail also made Driver 3, Asterix & Obelix XXL and Stuntman for the GBA.

V-Rally 3 supports up to 2 players, whether that means taking turns or going head-to-head.

Pick it if…

  • you want to race and compete
  • you have time for a quick session (under an hour, or endless arcade fun)
  • you have a friend to play against
  • you've played the GBA hits and want something less obvious

Maybe skip it if…

  • you want a story or exploration rather than laps

What playing V-Rally 3 is like

Racing games range from realistic driving to kart racers with weapons and shortcuts. Races are short, making them great for quick sessions and split-screen rivalries.

Tip for newcomers: Learn each track's racing line and braking points; in kart racers, item strategy matters as much as driving.
