Developed by Now Production and published by Namco, Klonoa 2: Dream Champ Tournament arrived on the Game Boy Advance in 2005 as a platformer. This GBA release is a port or adaptation of a game that first appeared in 2002.
It landed about 4 years into the GBA's life. Other notable GBA releases from 2005 include Pokémon Emerald, Mario Party Advance and WarioWare: Twisted!.
It is part of the Klonoa series; on the GBA you can also try Klonoa: Empire of Dreams and Klonoa Heroes: Densetsu no Star Medal. The series also appears on other systems with Klonoa: Door to Phantomile (PS1) and Kaze no Klonoa: Moonlight Museum (WonderSwan). Now Production also made Silent Scope, WTA Tour Tennis and Pro Tennis WTA Tour for the GBA.
This is a solo experience: one player, no waiting on anyone else.

What playing Klonoa 2: Dream Champ Tournament is like
Platformers are all about movement: running, jumping and timing your way across levels full of gaps, enemies and secrets. The best ones feel great to control within seconds and then slowly teach you to master every leap.
Tip for newcomers: Retro platformers often have limited lives and few checkpoints. Learn one level at a time, look for hidden 1-ups, and don't be shy about using a save feature when it is available.
